The Friends of Chimfunshi is an international organization that was established to create greater awareness of the plight of orphaned chimpanzees and to assist the work being done at the Chimfunshi Wildlife Orphanage in Zambia. Chimfunshi is registered as a non-profit charity in the United States and South Africa, and includes support chapters throughout Africa, Europe and North America.

Chimfunshi does not receive any government funds or support in Zambia, and relies entirely on grants, donations and public generosity to continue its work.

For an annual subscription of R75 / USD $15 / Sterling 10 or Family subscription of R100 / USD $20 / Sterling 15, you will receive the Friends of Chimfunshi newsletter three times each year , complete biographies of all the chimpanzees, and information on the best ways to visit the Chimfunshi Wildlife Orphanage.
