Continues to Draw Raves, Gain Readers

In My Family Tree: A Life With Chimpanzees, the autobiography of Chimfunshi co-founder Sheila Siddle, continues to draw praise as it reaches new foreign-language markets in 2003.

The book, which was published by Grove/ Atlantic Inc. in the United States in 2002, was released in German and Dutch language versions in January 2003. Negotiations are currently underway for the Swedish and Spanish versions, along with distribution rights in South Africa, Australia and New Zealand. The paperback edition will be released in the U.S. by Grove / Atlantic in September, and large-type versions are being readied for both U.S. and European markets.

Family Tree was critically acclaimed upon its release, including a starred Kirkus Reviews piece that declared, "If the orphanage has but a fraction of the warmth and gentleness of Siddle’s voice in this story, then the word ‘sanctuary’ would fit well."
