In 1983, a dying infant chimpanzee was brought to the farm of David and Sheila Siddle in central Zambia. The Siddles' success in rescuing that chimpanzee – nicknamed "Pal" – and the dozens that followed over the next 25 years created a legacy that stands as one of the great conservation stories of Africa.
